Grind privacy policy

Updated 2026-10-06. Grind is a golf improvement app. In short: your sessions live on your iPhone and in your own iCloud; what you capture is sent to OpenAI only to transcribe and summarize it; we don't sell data, show ads, or track you.

What stays with you

Your sessions, focuses, goals, photos and videos are stored on your iPhone and synced through your private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). We can't see that data. Videos never leave the iPhone that added them.

OpenAI does not use API data to train its models (OpenAI API data controls). Our server, on Cloudflare, passes requests through and stores none of their content.

Other data

Device token. When the app first connects, our server gives it a random device token, used only to authorize requests and limit how often they can be made. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
Crash and error reports. We use Sentry to find bugs. Reports include the app version, iPhone model and iOS version, and what the app was doing; they don't include your notes, audio, photos, or personal information. Sentry may receive your IP address with a report.
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone; nothing is sent.

Your choices

Delete any session in the app; it's removed from your iPhone and iCloud.
Remove all Grind data from iCloud in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Grind.
Turn off the microphone, photos or notifications for Grind in Settings at any time.

Children

Grind is not directed at children under 13.
